20 SEAG-style papers exclusively for schools
Completed at the beginning of December 2024, this new Transfer Test practice series draws upon known questions from the official exams in 2023 and 2024 (based on student feedback) as well as each English and Maths curricular theme stated on the SEAG website.
Released in summer 2023, the 20-part series of The Catapult Papers has sold over 1000 copies in Northern Ireland. It is a purposefully challenging series of papers, aiming to prepare students for all eventualities in the official exams.
An accompanying series of ten ‘Warm-Up’ papers was also released, with P6 students specifically in mind.
Since then, many schools have been in contact, either seeking licences to use these publicly-available papers, or wishing to know if a ‘schools-only’ version of the tests was available.
I can now announce the launch of The Catapult Papers Schools Series: 20 SEAG-style practice papers that begin at a level suited to P6 students who are beginning the practice season, and culminating in a level suited to P7 students.
What you receive
You will receive a folder of PDF files, sent via WeTransfer. Within this folder you will receive the following:
full-colour versions of all files (suitable for displaying on classroom whiteboards when discussing the tests with students)
black & white versions of all files (suitable for saving printing costs at your school)
20 test papers, each containing 56 English & Maths questions, set out according to the exact format of the official SEAG exams
20 student answer sheets, designed according to the exact format of the official SEAG exams
20 test answer sheets, with full explanations for every answer (suitable for sending home to parents)
A one-year licence agreement to use the papers, stated on the footnote of every test paper

As these tests are not available for public purchase, I will not be displaying them in the online Catapult store. Should you wish to sample the appearance and layout of The Catapult Papers, there are free downloads of Test 1 from the main series, and Test 1 from the ‘Warm-Up’ series. Here are the links:

I will initially send two sample papers from the series (via WeTransfer) without the licence footnote, so that you can decide if you are happy to make the purchase.
If you are happy to proceed, I will then set up an invoice with a link to pay online. When payment is received, you will receive your licensed version of the series within two working days.
PRICE
The ‘price per pupil’ stated here is only for purchases of the tests in PDF format. Should you be interested in printed versions of the tests, please contact me to arrange a quote. I will charge the same rate, plus the quote from the printing company, plus £30 for packaging and delivery.
I am aware that, between now and summer 2025, schools will not have exact figures for the number of pupils who will be taking part in the 2025 SEAG exams. I am happy to base costs on the estimated number of pupils.
